eNewsletter Campaigns
- Campaigns: Personalized e-mails can be sent to selected users. Through “opt-in” users can subscribe to newsletters and "opt-out" at anytime.
- Campaign Success: Check results and define success criteria - for example, the user can access special, targeted content as an action of your campaign. Get a graphical representation showing the results and their actions.
- Campaign recipients: Campaigns can be sent to internal portal users or to anonymous reciepients that were uploaded using CSV files. Different mail bodies can be defined for portal members and non-members
- Campaign delivery: Is very fast and optimized, bounce management allows you to analyse bouncebacks.
- Detailed statistics and reports: Shows you exactly which people opened the campaign and how many (and which) people clicked each link.
Blogs
- Blogs allow your members to create their own content directly in your portal. A blog is a series of several articles that are posted by your members. Such articles can then be assigned to tags. A blog article can be rated and commented by other members.
- A detailed overview allows other members to find certain articles and authors very quickly and summaries include Top Blogs (most popular), Newest Blogs, Most-Viewed, Most-Discussed, Most-Active Authors.
- The blog overview allows a member to review all their current blog articles, comments, rankings. Articles can be deleted and edited by the owner at any time.
Wiki
- Wiki is an application that allows members to post articles that can be easily modified by any other member or even a guest user. This methodology was first invented by Wikipedia.
- Whenever an article gets modified, then a new version of the article will be saved. Members can easily review and compare all versions / modifications of an article.
- A complete glossary with all keywords and links will be generated automatically.
User profiles
- Members can sign up in the system at any time and maintain their own user profile. The profile is separated into User data, contact data and business data. The member can easily define which parts of the profile are visible to others on a per-member level.
- User data: Name, company, email, timezone, birthday
- Contact data: Business contact information (phone, fax, address) ; private contact data (phone, fax, address) and network data (skype, icq, AIM, Yahoo etc.)
- Business data: Company, position, industry, website, previous companies, wants, haves, universities, certificates, interests, spoken languages
- Profile image: Members can upload a personal image and assign it to their profile
- The user profile can be changed at any time.
- All information is immediately full-text indexed and available through the integrated member search.
Member search
Members can find other members through the member search facility. Depending on their permissions or memberships, they can query certain fields of the user profile or use an advanced search to find other members and add them to their personal network.
- Member search: allows members to find other members by name, interest, industry, universities, company, position, previous company, wants, haves, city, state, country
- Advanced member search includes : Visitors of my profile, Members who i visit, New members, Members who want what i have, Members who have what i want, Members in my area, Members who belong to the same organizations, All contacts of my contacts, Contacts that have a birthday soon
Personal network
Members can create and extend their personal network by clicking the “Add contact” button whenever they visit the profile page of a member. The contacted member can then either “Accept” or “Decline” the contact request. Other members can be found through the member search facility or through many other applications within the portal.
These functionalities are available to members to create and maintain their personal network:
- Add contacts: Allows members to add other members to their personal network. The member becomes a “confirmed contact” and can be included in many activities and functionalities that are only available to such contacts.
- Define data releases: The member can define which profile data (i.e. private / business contact details) is visible to the confirmed contact.
- Remove contact: A member can remove an existing connection with a contact at any time
- Notes: The member can assign notes to any members
- Introduce contacts: Members can introduce their contacts to other contacts
- Messaging: Allows members to send messages to each other. Each member has an Inbox and Outbox to compose and receive messages.
- Invitations: Allows members to invite other persons that are not part of the network yet. The member can review the status at anytime and can be rewarded with a free membership as soon as a certain number of successful invitations has been reached.
- Invite to chat: Members can invite other confirmed contacts to a text-based chat (Video / Audiochat functionality will be available soon).
Member profile page
The profile page of each member gives a detailled overview. Based on the data release settings that the member chose, all or only a few information may be visible. This can be set on a “per member” level.
The member profile page shows:
- General member data: Name, company, position, city, state, country
- Profile data: Direct contacts, contacts of contacts (2nd degree), activity index (calculated on the members login activity), page views of the member profile, online status
- Business data: All business-relevant details (i.e. industry, groups, wants, haves and many more)
- Contact data: All relevant contact information (business, private, network)
- Contacts: Shows all direct contacts of the member
- Blogs: Shows all blog articles posted by the member
- Articles: Shows all articles posted by the member
- Connection paths: Shows the connection path between the browser and the displayed member. This can be a direct connection if this is a direct contact or up to 4 contacts between the two members.
User files
- The user file manager allows members to manage their own files in the portal for further distribution upload their own files into the portal. These could be audio (mp3, podcasts), videos, images, documents (pdf, excel sheets, word docs, openoffice) and other file types.
- Each file can be assigned with a detailled description and access rights. The member can define whether the file is accessible to “Everybody”, “Members only”, “Groups” or “Confirmed contacts”.
- Other members can use the file manager to browse the member’s files, provided that these files are accessible to them.
Network groups
Networks groups allow members to create their own private and closed groups to share knowledge, documents and articles. Such group content is only accessible to members that are part of the group.
- Network group application: Members can suggest a group using the group application form. They specify the name, description and several reasons why this group is required. The portal managers can approve the application – the applicant becomes the new group manager then.
- Member application: Members can join a group by filling out a member application form where they need to provide a short reason. The group manager can then approve the application
- Group newsletter: Group managers can send a newsletter to their members at any time. The newsletter will be delivered to the members inbox.
- Forum: Each network group has at least one forum that is accessible to the group members.
Network events
Members can use the portal to manage their private and public events. They can also plan visits to other public events that were created by other members.
- Create and manage events: Members can setup events and define a begin and end date. They can assign file attachments and enter a detailed description. They can also limit the visibility of the event.
- Events can be set to “private” , “public” or “confirmed contacts only”.
- Plan a visit to an event: Members can add themselves to public events and specify at which day / time they will attend the event. Other members can then browse these attendee lists and plan their visit.
