Member search

Members can find other members through the member search facility. Depending on their permissions or memberships, they can query certain fields of the user profile or use an advanced search to find other members and add them to their personal network.

Personal network

Members can create and extend their personal network by clicking the “Add contact” button whenever they visit the profile page of a member. The contacted member can then either “Accept” or “Decline” the contact request. Other members can be found through the member search facility or through many other applications within the portal.

These functionalities are available to members to create and maintain their personal network:

Member profile page

The profile page of each member gives a detailled overview. Based on the data release settings that the member chose, all or only a few information may be visible. This can be set on a “per member” level.

The member profile page shows:

User files

Network groups

Networks groups allow members to create their own private and closed groups to share knowledge, documents and articles. Such group content is only accessible to members that are part of the group.

Network events

Members can use the portal to manage their private and public events. They can also plan visits to other public events that were created by other members.
